1984

Where it began

Montana Corporate was founded in 1984 by John and Linda McCluskey as a home business. The company provided computer and technology services in addition to business filing and registration services.

As the demand for business and registration services grew over the next two decades, the company began to grow and shift its primary focus to business filings and registration services. A full-time office manager and part-time employee were added to the company roster. Advancements in technology allowed Montana Corporate to grow. With the advent of email and digital filings over postal mail and paper filings, business became significantly more streamlined and the company was able to greatly expand its clientele from a few dozen clients to over one thousand.

2013

A new generation

John and Linda's daughter Jennifer joined the company in 2013 in the position of temporary office manager. However business continued to grow and Jennifer became the permanent, full-time office manager. As John and Linda prepared for retirement, Jennifer played a greater and greater role as time went on, eventually taking over as CEO and moving the company out of John and Linda's home and into a dedicated office in downtown Helena.

Today

Continuing the legacy

As of 2025, John and Linda have retired to Hawaii, and Jennifer leads a team of eleven full-time employees. Montana Corporate now represents over 4,000 clients and continues to grow every day while still striving to provide the same quality level of service that allowed the company to become a leader in the business and registration industry so many years ago.
