Break/Bond Information

In order to complete registration through the Break Bond application process we will need all documents pertaining to your purchase of the vehicle along with the original Montana forms required for registration (links below).

All documents you have pertaining to your purchase of the vehicle should be sent to us.

The following is required:

1. Break Bond application Should be notarized and MUST BE ORIGINAL.
2. Montana VIN inspection form MUST BE ORIGINAL and needs to be accompanied by:
3. A color photo of the VIN plate and the credentials or business card of the person whom conducts the inspection. The inspection can be done by any law officer or certified VIN verifier.
4. NMVTIS report (link is also contained in the break bond application).
5. Surety Bond should cover the value of the vehicle plus $1,000 or more.
6. Color photos of the vehicle's front, back, each side, and odometer.
7. Bill of Sale documenting the ownership transfer from the seller to you.
